Shahid Banglawala joined BGC Partners in the role of Data Scientist following an MSc in Data Science and Machine Learning from UCL. The role is to use the data BGC has to increase revenues – by making business decisions with a higher chance of positive outcome, based on historical patterns and relationships in data. As part of this, I have developed and continue to evolve an in-house application that uses analytics and AI to assist brokers in the financial markets. I am also involved with the engineering of new data pipelines, for both internal and external consumers.
